Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken

1 cup finely chopped green onions

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon ginger, minced

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 teaspoon rice vinegar

1 teaspoon hoisin sauce

1 cup coleslaw mix (shredded cabbage and carrots)

1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust for spiciness)

Wonton wrappers (about 20)

Vegetable oil (for frying)

Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Filling: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground chicken. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula (about 5-7 minutes). Drain excess fat if needed.

Add Aromatics: To the skillet with the browned chicken, add the chopped green onions, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Stir and cook for another 2-3 minutes until fragrant.

Flavor It Up: Stir in the soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and hoisin sauce. Mix well and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Finally, add the coleslaw mix and sriracha; mix thoroughly and remove from heat.

Prepare Wonton Shells: Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, take the wonton wrappers and gently mold them into small taco shapes (you can use a taco holder if you have one for easier frying).

Fry the Wontons: Carefully place the shaped wontons into the hot oil, frying for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn golden brown and crispy. Remove and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.

Assemble the Tacos: Once the wonton shells have cooled slightly, fill each one with the chicken mixture. Garnish with fresh cilantro and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.

Serve: Arrange the wonton tacos on a platter. Serve immediately and enjoy the crunchy, flavorful bites!
