Ingredients

1 cup fresh blueberries

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup water (for blueberry syrup)

1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4-6 lemons)

4 cups cold water (for mixing)

Lemon slices and fresh mint leaves (for garnish)

Ice cubes

Instructions

Make the Blueberry Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine the blueberries, sugar, and 1 cup of water. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves and the blueberries start to break down (about 5-7 minutes).

Strain the Syrup: Remove from heat and strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl, pressing the blueberries with the back of a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible. Let the syrup cool to room temperature.

Prepare the Lemonade Base: In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice and 4 cups of cold water. Stir well to combine.

Combine and Mix: Once the blueberry syrup has cooled, stir it into the lemonade mixture until well blended. Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary by adding more sugar or syrup.

Serve: Fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the blueberry lemonade over the ice, and garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves.

Enjoy: Refresh yourself with this delicious blend of sweet and tangy flavors!
