Ingredients

2 cups cooked chicken, chopped

6 strips of bacon, cooked and crumbled

1/2 cup ranch dressing

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped

4 sub rolls or hoagie buns

1 cup shredded lettuce

1 medium tomato, sliced

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: hot sauce for extra heat

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped cooked chicken, crumbled bacon, ranch dressing, shredded cheddar cheese, and green onions. Stir until well mixed. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Toast the Sub Rolls: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the sub rolls in half lengthwise, and if desired, lightly butter the insides. Place them on a baking sheet and toast them in the oven for about 5-7 minutes, until golden.

Assemble the Subs: Remove the toasted sub rolls from the oven. Starting with the shredded lettuce, layer it on the bottom of each roll. Spoon a generous amount of the chicken-bacon mixture over the lettuce.

Add Toppings: Top the chicken mixture with slices of fresh tomato, and for those who enjoy some heat, drizzle with hot sauce.

Final Touches: If desired, sprinkle a bit more cheddar cheese on top for extra flavor. Place the assembled subs back into the oven for another 5 minutes, just to warm up the filling and melt the cheese slightly.

Serve: Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a minute before cutting the subs in half. Serve warm and enjoy your delicious Chopped Chicken Bacon Ranch Subs!
