Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 medium onion, diced

1 green bell pepper, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 cup chicken broth

1/4 cup ketchup

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Salt and pepper to taste

4 hamburger buns

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Pickles (optional, for serving)

Instructions

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and green bell pepper, and sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.

Stir in the minced garlic, Cajun seasoning, and smoked paprika. Sauté for an additional minute until fragrant.

Add the ground chicken to the skillet, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook until the chicken is browned, about 5-7 minutes.

Pour in the chicken broth, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard. Stir well to combine.

Bring the mixture to a simmer and reduce the heat to low. Let it cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens. Taste and season with salt and pepper as needed.

While the chicken is cooking, toast the hamburger buns until golden brown.

To serve, spoon the Cajun chicken mixture onto the toasted buns. Garnish with chopped parsley and add pickles if desired.
