Lemon Garlic Butter Chicken and Green Beans Skillet

4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided

4 cloves garlic, minced

Juice and zest of 1 large lemon

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed

1 tablespoon freshly chopped parsley (for garnish)

Prepare the Chicken Thighs: Season the chicken thighs with salt, pepper, thyme, and paprika on both sides.

    Heat the Skillet: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat until melted and bubbly.

      Cook the Chicken: Add the seasoned chicken thighs to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F). Once cooked, remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

        Sauté Garlic: In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Be careful not to burn it.

          Add Green Beans: Add the trimmed green beans to the skillet, sautéing them for about 4-5 minutes until they are bright green and slightly tender.

            Combine with Lemon Butter: Lower the heat and return the chicken to the skillet. Add the remaining butter, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Stir to coat everything in the buttery sauce and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

              Finish and Serve: Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve immediately, drizzling any remaining sauce from the skillet on top of the chicken and green beans.
