Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning

½ teaspoon paprika

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

2 large eggs

¼ cup milk

½ cup all-purpose flour

Olive oil spray or melted butter (for drizzling)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.

Prepare the Breading: In a large bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and set aside.

Prepare the Chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. This helps the breading stick better. Season the chicken lightly with salt and pepper.

        Set Up Breading Station:

          - In a shallow dish, beat the eggs and milk together to create an egg wash.

            - Place the flour in another shallow dish.

              Bread the Chicken:

                - Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, ensuring it's evenly coated. Shake off excess flour.

                  - Dip the floured chicken into the egg wash, coating it well.

                    - Finally, press the chicken breast into the Parmesan and breadcrumb mixture, coating both sides thoroughly.

Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the breaded chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet. Spray the tops lightly with olive oil or drizzle some melted butter over them. This will help achieve a golden crust.

Bake the Chicken: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the crust is golden brown. An internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) should be reached.

Serve: Once done, remove from the oven and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve hot with your choice of sides such as roasted vegetables or a fresh salad.
