Ingredients

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs

1/3 cup honey

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt to taste

1/4 cup sliced green onions (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a large bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, olive oil, crushed red pepper flakes, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Mix well. Add the chicken thighs, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours for more flavor).

Prepare for Cooking: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat a grill pan over medium-high heat. If using the oven, line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Cook the Chicken: Remove the chicken from the marinade and place it in the prepared baking sheet or grill pan. Reserve the marinade for later use. Bake the chicken for 20-25 minutes in the oven, or grill for about 6-7 minutes per side until fully cooked and golden brown.

Make the Sauce: While the chicken cooks, pour the reserved marinade into a small saucepan. Bring it to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce to a simmer for about 5-7 minutes, until thickened.

Glazing the Chicken: Once the chicken is cooked through, brush it with the thickened sauce for added flavor and allow it to caramelize slightly, about 2-3 minutes more in the oven or on the grill.

Serve: Remove the chicken from the oven or grill, let it rest for a couple of minutes, then slice it. Serve hot, drizzled with additional sauce, and garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
